MICROSOFT STUDENTS ASSOCIATE

Let me think. I was in my 6th standard when I first touched a PC. There were some 10 PCs in my school. Every PC was shared by 2-3 students and we used to fight for our turn to use it. In the later years we had enough PC in our school and all these problems where ruled out.
But even to this day I remember drawing the square using LOGO, drawing a house using MS PAINT, writing my name in different word art style and creating a slide show. I still remember my teacher scolding me for the last. We were supposed to do something else.
Anyways it’s always good to begin something with a memory. After all it is computer we are speaking about.
I am sure you all are wondering what this is all about.  I have applied for Microsoft Student Associates (MSA) Program and so, this forms a part of my qualifying round.

We were asked to write an article on “How Microsoft has impact on your life?” and so on. Now before you click on next tab and start searching on google what MSA is? Let me just give a brief intro about this program. Microsoft Student Associates is a program for all the technology evangelists where Microsoft is looking for tech-enthusiasts, passionate, super-charged and social media homo-sapiens who can optimally manage to promote Microsoft technologies at their respective college campuses, or surroundings or practically, anywhere. You see, Microsoft Technologies are worth spreading too! This program by Microsoft aims to bring in students and everybody associated with it, by being a Microsoft Student Associate, those senses of leadership and quality marketing with an induced trait of influencing the people with their ever-developing persona. Being a Microsoft Student Associate, one would be required to use one’s network at the campuses and on social media to talk about Microsoft products and bring to people, the glowing facts about the purposes each one of that works to solve. In addition to that, one would be required to conduct boot camps, hold seminars and workshops to help people come steps closer to using Microsoft technologies and learning to incorporate these to bring a feel of ease in their regular stuffs. Well to get this information I had to go on bing and had to search.( To be frank I didn’t use bing. I just said bing to create an impression. My IE has google as its search engine. But I am sure bing produces the same results.)
If you are reading this article it means Microsoft has some impact on your life. Say for example it might be your operating system(windows) or your browser(IE) or maybe your search engine(bing).
So is mine.
How has Microsoft impacted my life?

I don’t think I can even imagine those presentations that I had prepared in my school without a MS POWERPOINT, those articles and poems that I write for my blog without MS WORD, those movies and videos I watch without MEDIA PLAYER. This list just goes on and on. But most important is that my laptop doesn’t open its eyes windows.(because that’s the only OS installed.)
When we study MS EXCEL, I used to hate typing all those data’s into those cells. But later when I got to know about auto fill I just loved using it. In no time I could finish the column sl.no, salary, age etc.
Not just all these apps that benefit us there are many more. The gaming platform that is being provided by Microsoft is really good.
My laptop is totally filled with Microsoft. Windows OS , Microsoft office collection, internet explorer and many more apps. It just makes my life more comfortable with technology.
Microsoft has not just affected my life, but has affected the lives of everyone in this world who is using a computer. Everyone today knowingly or unknowingly is being benefited by Microsoft. Microsoft has worked to fuel the foundation of almost everything, I have learned (From computer till mobile).

How do I look to bring a change in the society, being a Microsoft Student Associate?

My teachers always say that “Knowledge should be shared.” And “Best way to learn is interaction”. And I think both these things are possible by being a part of MSA. When healthy group of like-minded Microsoft enthusiasts come together and work great thinks will happen and I want to be a part of it.

I understand that being a Microsoft Student Associate is not just being a part of a great programme, but it also comes many duties and roles. I expect to conduct seminars on a regular note to talk about the emerging Microsoft technologies and present to people, a fair opinion and a call-appeal to using those technologies for the purposes they were made. Not just that, I really look forward to use all my potential in marketing and promotions to hustle people to be more aware and updated about Microsoft and its works to make the world a better and an easy place to live in. As said being a MSA, I’d be provided with a platform that will help, not just to unite with like-minded people to help people stay updated, but would also help me fetch ideas to spread more knowledge in an efficient manner.

I hope I will learn a lot from this programme.
